From Lowestoft to Whitley Bay - again

So here we go again… Off to Whitley Bay this afternoon to cover the first leg of Lowestoft’s FA Vase semi-final.

What will this year have in store? If it’s only half as dramatic as last year’s tie, it will have more than enough.

Me and Jon have sat in front of the camera for a video preview – view it here – and the hotel is booked; same as last year naturally.

I, unsurprisingly, have not been afforded the same luxury as the players. They are flying up to Lowestoft Friday morning before having a session at Newcastle United’s training ground this afternoon – hopefully a light one.

I have a remit. No more than 1,000 words for Saturday’s PinkUn. The Vase will get a bit more coverage because of the lack of a City game.

I’ll be ringing the report back from the north east, while also twittering away on the PinkUn twitter feed during the game with updates.

Then there is my own twit link, which I will be updating all weekend; you can follow that here.

Hopefully I’ll be able to added photographs from my phone too. That’s the plan anyway.

The treble is still on for the Blues – Suffolk Premier Cup, Ridgeons Premier Division title and the Vase. The business end stars now.
