Contract catering company Edwards & Blake intends to expand geographically in 2012, growing the business in the Midlands M1 corridor, to sit alongside the existing East Anglian operations.
The outfit's new business development manager has been appointed from that region and new contracts will be pursued to sit alongside a wide range of work carried out in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Essex and Bedfordshire.
The business serves thousands of meals a day to employees, schoolchildren and students.
Launched in offices in Dereham in 1998, the firm has its headquarters at the EcoTech Innovation Business Park in Swaffham.
Turnover has been increasing every year since it recorded sales worth £126,000 in 1998.
In the last year other important developments have been to recruit some other key posts including a human resources/training manager and a procurement manager, said Shirley Edwards.
By the end of 2011 the business will have launched new company brochures, now split into business and education, and a new website to enhance marketing tools.
Edwards & Blake was a finalist for the EDP Business Development and Business of the Year awards this year.
