The big news from record label Takeover Entertainment was the signing of Dappy from N-Dubz as a solo artist. His debut single 'No Regrets' was releassed in September and went straight to number 1 with first week sales of 100,000. Archie Lamb and Jack Foster's outfit have recently shot the video in Los Angeles for Dappy's follow up single Rockstar, which features Queen's Brian May. They have also recently set up Dappy's brand new clothing line called MiGi and named after his two children Milo and Gino. Dappy premieres this clothing in his Rockstar video. Dappy's first solo sold out tour starts in December and will also play the UEA in Norwich.
Mr Lamb and Mr Foster have been best known for their work with grime artist Tinchy Stryder and this year they have released two top 40 hits with him, Spaceship and Off The Record.
Meanwhile, sales for Star In The Hood clothing continue to flourish and Takeover has signed a new artist called Dot Rotten, who has already supported Chase and Status and whose first single will be out in March.
Mr Lamb and Mr Foster are former Norwich college friends.
