Mark Fiddy - Poultex
International meat and poultry trading company
Poultex has weathered its toughest ever trading
year to increase turnover and expand its staff.
The firm which has developed an unique online
trading system enables buyers and sellers of poultry
and meat from across the globe able to log on to
its website 24 hours a day, seven days a week, has
taken on staff from five different countries as part of
an expansion of its sales team.
Managing director Mark Fiddy said 2009 had
proved to be the hardest year the company
had traded through, but Poultex had more than
weathered the storm.
“By recruiting and retaining quality people during
2009, Poultex increased turnover to new levels and
once again put down solid foundations for exciting
growth that has exceeded our expectations during
2010,” Mr Fiddy said. “In fact, 2009 was our eighth
year in business and was the eighth consecutive
year that we increased turnover and market
penetration.
“The really exciting news is the growth we have
seen during 2010. This year will be the first £10m
turnover year. This will show an incredible increase
of 66pc growth between the end of 2008 and year
end 2010. Despite the economic downturn, Poultex
is generating new income streams, increasing
market penetration and having fun building an
international business from the middle of Norwich,”
he said. “This year has already been our most
interesting year since our incorporation. We are
now revising our long term business plan in order to
continue this level of growth.”
